I reached out to some Dalmatian email lists I used to belong to back in the old listserv days (believe it or not, they still run on an old listserv!). I was amazed that there were so many familiar names on the list - it was a great "homecoming". Most amazing of all were the number of breeders who reached out to me. We did get a lead on a litter of 7 newborns here in Texas. We first thought we should only consider buying from a breeder within driving distance. The idea of shipping a puppy on the plane was daunting. But wow, there are puppies out there in the rest of the country! We may have to rethink our location parameters!
