BUBBLES! Yes, that tiny container you see is the source of all their fun. It holds pure gold in Widget's mind: bubbles. I buy the containers in bulk and have them stashed everywhere (my office, kitchen, the car, etc) for whenever Widget needs her bubble fix.

I discovered that the dogs turn into little angels when there is a comforter on my office sofa. I'm now investing in a plethora of comforters :)
