This is what 6am looks like. At 5am Widget wakes up and wants breakfast. We go outside, do some hunting (bugs, toads, nothing too scary), do a quick perimeter check of the yard. Then we head up to my office where we nosh on nylabones slathered in peanut butter. By the time the nylabones are free of peanut butter both pups are tired again. They retire to my office sofa by 6am, while I work on the computers.
Browser taught Widget his lazybones maneuver of sleeping in front of the open door. It's the best of both worlds - they can rush outside if needed, but don't have to suffer in the heat. Best of both worlds to them that is, not to the humans indoors who endure humidity, bugs, and even a wayward bird making its way into the house.
Widget loves to climb on the waterfall but this is the first time she did it with it running! It was a hot day, so I think she liked how the cool water felt rushing over her feet. At some point I fully expect her to start using the waterfall as a diving board.
In an effort to convince Widget that human furniture is not for puppies, each spotted mutt got their own doggy cot for the patio. Yep, patio furniture for dogs. Not spoiled at all... nope, not one bit. Browser was scared of the cots at first, but now he thinks they are pretty comfy.
Widget has trouble differentiating between human furniture and puppy furniture. If *I* am sitting in one of these chairs then surely it's acceptable for *her* to sit in one.
Lazy bones definitely gets his groove on when the Chuck-It is flying. He even catches it a good portion of the time. Widget still prefers bubbles, but Browser is all about the Chuck-It.
Widget will disappear and we'll hear her barking very playfully. We always know where she is. She has taken to going into the dark media room and jumping on the sofa. We're not sure what she's trying to tell us, but she's being very silly and always has a smile on her face when we "catch" her.
